terms of use
These terms apply when you browse, book or pay on ZimFun. By making a booking you accept them, together with the Organiser's own terms shown on the event page.
1. Who we are and what ZimFun does
Bh3 Techs (“ZimFun”, “we”) runs an online marketplace where independent tour and event organisers (“Organisers”) list trips, camps, tours and travel packages (“Events”), and where you can book seats on them.
ZimFun is not the organiser of any Event. When you book, your contract for the Event is with the Organiser named on the event page. ZimFun provides the platform, keeps the booking record, issues your ticket and, where offered, passes your online payment to the Organiser through Paynow.
2. Accounts and guest bookings
- You can book as a guest (with your name, phone number and email) or with a free account. You must be at least 18, or book with a parent or guardian's permission.
- Give accurate details. The lead guest is responsible for everyone booked under their reference.
- A guest booking is opened with a private link and the device that made it. Keep that link private — anyone holding it can see and manage the booking. You can recover access with Find my booking.
- Keep your password safe. We may suspend accounts used for fraud, abuse or to break these terms.
3. Making a booking
An event page shows the price per person for each package, what's included, optional extras, the deposit (if any) and the Organiser's own terms. When you press “Reserve”, your seats are held for the time shown on your booking (usually 48 hours) while you pay.
- Deposit events: paying the deposit secures your seats; the balance is due before the trip, by the date the Organiser sets.
- Pay-in-full events: your seats are secured once the full amount is paid.
- If the required amount isn't paid before the hold ends, the hold expires and the seats are released to others. An expired hold can only be revived if seats are still available.
- Your booking is confirmed when its status shows “Deposit paid” or “Paid in full” and your ticket appears.
4. Prices and fees
- Prices are set by the Organiser and shown in the currency on the event page (US$ or ZiG). The amount on your booking summary is the amount you owe.
- Booking on ZimFun is free for travellers unless a booking fee is shown separately on your booking before you reserve. Fees ZimFun charges Organisers are never added to your price without being shown.
- Mobile money, bank or card charges from your own provider are yours to pay.
5. Paying
Each Organiser chooses which payment methods they accept. There are two kinds:
- Automatic (online, through Paynow): you pay inside ZimFun with EcoCash, OneMoney, InnBucks or card. Your booking confirms automatically as soon as Paynow reports the payment to us.
- Manual (cash, bank deposit or mobile money to the Organiser): you pay the Organiser directly using your booking reference, then upload proof of payment. The Organiser checks it against their records and confirms. Your seats stay held while a proof is being reviewed.
Uploading a false, edited or someone else's proof of payment is fraud. We will cancel the booking, may close the account, and may report it to the authorities.
6. Tickets and check-in
- Each confirmed booking gets one ticket with a QR code. It admits the number of guests on the booking once; after it's scanned it can't be used again.
- Show it on your phone or printed at pickup or the venue. The Organiser may ask for ID matching the lead guest's name.
- If a balance is still due at check-in, the Organiser may ask you to pay it before you board or enter.
- Don't share or post your ticket — a copied QR admits whoever shows it first.
7. If you cancel
You can cancel an unpaid booking yourself at any time from your booking page; nothing is owed. To cancel a booking you have paid for, contact the Organiser.
Refunds follow the Organiser's cancellation terms on the event page, which you accept when you book. If an Organiser hasn't published their own terms, this default applies:
- 14 days or more before the Event starts: refund of everything paid except the deposit.
- 7 to 13 days before: 50% of everything paid is refunded.
- Less than 7 days before, or not turning up: no refund.
Optional extras the Organiser has already paid suppliers for may be non-refundable; the Organiser must tell you this before you book.
8. If the Organiser cancels or changes the Event
- If an Organiser cancels an Event, you are entitled to a full refund of everything you paid, within 14 days, or — if you agree — a transfer to another date.
- If an Organiser makes a major change (a different date, destination or a key inclusion removed), you may cancel for a full refund instead of accepting it.
- Events can be affected by weather, park or border closures, or safety concerns. Organisers may change itineraries for your safety; where this means you don't get something you paid for, you should get a fair partial refund.
- Refunds are paid by the Organiser, usually by the same method you used to pay. ZimFun will help you contact the Organiser and may suspend Organisers who don't honour these terms.
9. Safety and conduct
- Outdoor activities — swimming, hiking, boating, game viewing — carry real risks. Follow the Organiser's and guides' instructions, and tell the Organiser about medical conditions, dietary needs or mobility limits when you book.
- You are responsible for your own travel documents (ID, passport, visas, vaccinations) and, for international packages, for meeting entry requirements.
- We recommend suitable travel and medical insurance, especially for multi-day and international trips.
- Organisers may refuse or remove guests who are abusive, endanger others or break park rules, without a refund.
10. Reviews
Only guests with a paid booking can review an Event, after it has started. Reviews must be honest and about your own experience. We may hide reviews that are abusive, discriminatory, contain personal data, or are fake.
11. Our responsibility
The Organiser is responsible for running the Event safely and as described. ZimFun is responsible for running the platform with reasonable care and skill: showing listings as the Organiser provided them, keeping your booking and payment records, and issuing tickets.
To the extent the law allows, ZimFun is not liable for an Organiser's acts or omissions, or for indirect losses. Our total liability to you for any booking is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or removes your rights under the Consumer Protection Act [Chapter 14:44].
12. Your information
We use your details to make and manage bookings and share what's needed with your Organiser (name, phone, email, booking details). See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information under the Cyber and Data Protection Act [Chapter 12:07].
13. Changes, disputes and law
- We may update these terms. The version you accepted when you booked applies to that booking; we'll show the date of the latest version here.
- If something goes wrong, contact the Organiser first. If it isn't resolved, contact us and we will try to help both sides reach a fair outcome.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, and the courts of Zimbabwe have jurisdiction.
